Our partner, Russian-American IT Company, is looking for a Java engineer who wants to work on software that has a clear real-world impact. Our partner is looking for self-starters who will hit the ground running on day one.
It’s a small team. This team is all good at what they do, and they enjoy working together. You’ll have autonomy and respect from day one. No regulations or hierarchy, just a lot of interesting and challenging work to get done. They all wear lots of hats and you will too. They are bootstrapped, they are profitable, and they pay well.
The main office is in the United States. The Java engineer, we’re talking about, will work in Moscow. The time of relocation in the Sates will be coordinated within the first months of work for the Company.
Scope of work:
* Writing and modifying low-level Hadoop components (HDFS, KeyProvider API);
* Making packages for Cloudera / Hortonworks / MapR distribution.
* Deep knowledge of Java;
* Experience with working on internals of Hadoop is a strong plus;
* Deep knowledge of Python is a strong plus;
* Familiarity with concepts of symmetric / asymmetric encryption;
* Verbal and written technical English.
